There are many reasons why people should shave. On a personal note, I shave because long hair on the legs annoy me and I refuse to acknowledge some myths that claim shaving can make hair thick and hard when they grow back. After all, shaving is my weekly ritual.
My protective mother suggested I discontinue shaving because of this actually but I was only able to convince her when I turned 30. That is after explaining to her why people should shave. There are a great many benefits such as firmer looking skin, less bacteria, cleaner finish, and a feminine look, which works particularly for me because I naturally have muscular legs with long, almost curly hair.
Maybe some people do not want to go through the painful process but waxing, I’d say is far more painful. You could cut your skin the first time although it will only take a few sessions before getting used to it. I am reading a few good reviews about waxing. Allegedly, it has more pleasurable results and longer lasting effects. Models prefer this method over shaving and I myself considered it at one point. However, every time I read the procedures, I bail out. My brother has sworn off waxing, too, after the first try because it’s painful, considering he’s a man. With shaving, I only have to use a shaver, shaving soap, and a few optional paraphernalia, and I’m done!
I don’t have to suffer those unpleasant waxing scenarios with shaving so I chose to stick to it. Shaving is not time-consuming, healthier, and the easiest way to maintain personal hygiene.
