i’m 39
February 11, 2011 in personal, what's up
When somebody asks me my age, I always say I’m 39. But I’m only 38. It’s still a few days before my actual birthday and to tell you honestly, I really thought I would be turning 40 this coming Feb 19. Blame it on always thinking I’m a year older than my actual age. The builder of our home told me to take my age slowly, meaning, don’t rush it. Enjoy my current age. I’ll definitely arrive at 40 one way or another.
So, why the rush? I don’t know. Perhaps it’s the way I look. I want people to say that I look younger than my age. So when I’m 39 but I’m really 38 and they say I don’t look my age. that makes me happy. But it’s like lying to myself. The only difference is only I know. But who’s kidding who? And that much worse.
So, do you lie about your age? Do you say you’re younger or older than your actual age? Why do we do this? Why?
By the way, happy valentine to all!
